The event will take place at Lithia Springs Campground May 9-11, 2019. During this time, campsites are first come, first served with no reservations available. Paid camping will resume on Sunday, May 12.   • 2019 Recreation Season at Lake Shelbyville

    For Immediate Release: 15 April 2019 Release No.: 19-16 Lake Shelbyville – The recreation season is upon us and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers at Lake Shelbyville would like to announce 2019 campground & public beach season dates. All camping facilities, with the exception of Lone Point Campground, are on target to open on their scheduled dates. All beaches are also on target to open as scheduled, weather permitting. Fish cleaning stations and restrooms are open, with the exception of Lone Point, and all courtesy docks are in place.

    LITTLE ROCK, Ark. - The Army Corps of Engineers issued a small craft advisory for the Arkansas River. Recent rains in Oklahoma and Arkansas have caused flows to rise. During high flows, strong currents and large debris can threaten the safety of pleasure craft.
