    19-035 Boise River flows to increase through this week

    BOISE, Idaho – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and the Bureau of Reclamation will continue to increase flows through the City of Boise. Currently, Boise River flows through town are approximately 3,450 cubic feet per second (cfs). Flows will increase by 500 cfs daily, beginning on Tuesday, April 16, and continue through Friday, April 19. Flows will reach approximately 5,450 cfs by Friday evening as measured at the Glenwood Bridge gauge.

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers’ Jacksonville District has awarded a contract to replace the 26th and final water control structure within the Herbert Hoover Dike (HHD) as part of the ongoing rehabilitation project for the earthen structure surrounding Lake Okeechobee.

    Corps of Engineers releases draft shoreline management plan for Hartwell Lake

    SAVANNAH, Ga. – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (Corps), Savannah District, seeks public comments on the “Draft” 2019 Hartwell Project Shoreline Management Plan (SMP). The SMP provides guidance and information for the public regarding which facilities/activities can be authorized on public lands and waters adjacent to Hartwell Lake. The Corps last formally revised the SMP in 2007.

    CORPS BEGINS SPILLWAY RELEASES AT BEAVER LAKE

    ROGERS, Ark. – The Corps of Engineers, Little Rock District will open four of the seven spillway gates one foot at Beaver Dam by 10 a.m. this morning for a 3,500 cubic feet per second release. Currently both hydropower units are off-line for repairs.
