Matagorda Ship Channel Improvement Project Supplemental Environmental Impact Statement Scoping Input Period Underway

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Galveston District issued a Notice of Intent on June 2, 2023, opening the scoping input period for the Matagorda Ship Channel Project Supplemental Environmental Impact Statement (SEIS). A drop-in open house information session will be held June 7 between 6 and 8 p.m. at the Bauer Exhibit Hall in Calhoun County located at 186 Henry Barber Way in Port Lavaca, Texas.

Corps seeks public comments for St. Tammany feasibility study

The Notice of Intent for the St. Tammany Parish, Louisiana Feasibility Study was published on the Federal Register June 19, 2020 and the Corps of Engineers is seeking public comment for the study. The Corps will host virtual meetings to receive public comments; time and location to follow in subsequent media release and advertisements. Written comments will be accepted through August 3, 2020 when the comment period ends.

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) today published in the Federal Register a request for comments on a proposed revision to its regulation governing the possession and transportation of firearms at USACE-managed Water Resources Development Projects.

Comment period extended for input on USACE regulations

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers extends comment period to October 18, 2017, for input on its existing regulations. Presidential Executive Order 13777, “Enforcing the Regulatory Reform Agenda,” requires federal agencies to review all existing regulations; identify those that meet specific review criteria; and make recommendations regarding leaving regulations as they are, or recommending their repeal, replacement, or modification. A July 20, 2017, Federal Register Notice explains which regulations and how to comment.
