    MKARNS Nav Notice SWL 19-86 (Update to SWL 19-81) Pool 10 - Temporary Change in Water Elevations

    MKARNS - Mariners are advised that the pool 10 water target elevation is being changed to 338.0, as measured at Dardanelle Lock & Dam (No. 10). This change will underway now and will be in effect until noon on Monday, October 28. This change is needed by Arkansas Nuclear One to address issues with their scheduled maintenance actions currently underway.

    USACE MOBILE DISTRICT HOSTS BREAST CANCER AWARENESS LUNCHEON

    One in eight women will contract it and one woman every 13 minutes dies from it. October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month and those are grim statistics concerning the most common cancer among women. For this reason, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Mobile District hosted a Breast Cancer Awareness Lunch and Learn on Oct. 23, 2019 in the second floor conference room in Mobile, Ala.

    USACE TO HOST YOUTH HUNTERS AT ALLATOONA LAKE FOR ARCHERY DEER HUNT

    MOBILE, Ala. – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Mobile District at Allatoona Lake is scheduled to host an archery-only deer hunt on McKinney Campground Dec. 7 - 8, 2019, for youth hunters, starting at 5:00 a.m. Youth hunters 15 years old, and younger, are eligible for participation but must have an adult hunting assistant, 21 years or older, with a valid Georgia Big Game License.

    GIWW, Brazos River Floodgates, Colorado River Locks Chief's Report Signed

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), Galveston District, received a signed Chief of Engineers Report (Chief’s Report) for the proposed Gulf Intracoastal Waterway (GIWW) Brazos River Floodgates (BRFG) and Colorado River Locks (CRL), Oct. 24, outlining the feasibility study to improve navigation efficiency by selecting a plan that is economically justified and environmentally acceptable to maintain GIWW as a nationally significant waterway system while continuing to provide water and sediment management capability and navigation safety on the GIWW.
