  • Dove Hunt for Sportsmen with Disabilities

    CARLYLE LAKE – Disabled sportsmen can now call or write to the Carlyle Lake Project Office to reserve access to one of seven handicapped-accessible dove hunting blinds available for September 1-2, 2016. Hunting hours will be from 12:00 p.m. until sunset. The blinds are located among bountiful sunflowers at the Steins Field Access Area.

    GALVESTON, Texas (Aug. 4, 2016) – Construction to remove underwater demolition and debris from the Gulf Intracoastal Waterway (GIWW) and Galveston Causeway that began earlier this week will cause a temporary closure of the waterway located at the intersection of the GIWW, the Galveston Causeway (Interstate 45) and the associated railroad trestle bridge.
