    19-037 Boise River flows to near ‘bankfull’ on Wednesday

    BOISE, Idaho -- The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and the Bureau of Reclamation will increase flows through the City of Boise by 500 cubic feet per second (cfs) on Wednesday, April 24. Currently, Boise River flows through town are approximately 5,800 cfs, as measured at the Glenwood Bridge gauge. Flows will reach approximately 6,300 cfs by mid-morning on Wednesday.

    Army Corps hosting public information meeting in Libby May 22

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is hosting a Libby Dam annual operations public information meeting in Libby, Montana, on May 22. Corps representatives will discuss water supply forecasts, Libby Dam operations and Kootenai River White Sturgeon recovery efforts. In addition, a Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks representative will provide a Kootenai River fisheries update.

    Corps awards $21.6M contract for Fort Hunter Liggett microgrid

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Sacramento District awarded a $21.6 million construction contract April 12 to Ameresco of Framingham, Massachusetts to construct an electrical distribution microgird and 5 megawatt photovoltaic power generation at Fort Hunter Liggett. Ameresco is expected to break ground this spring and complete the project in 2021.
