USACE Construction Management Unveils Innovative Lab at Workshop
More than 150 U.S. Army Corps of Engineers professionals experienced innovative technology as the Construction Management Community of Practice unveiled their new lab at a workshop, held at the Kansas City District in early April.

U.S. Army’s premier engineer award presented posthumously to Medal of Honor recipient
SAVANNAH. Ga. -- U.S. Army Sgt. 1st Class Christopher A. Celiz was posthumously presented the Gold Order of the de Fleury Medal, the highest honor in the U.S. Army Engineer Regiment, during a ceremony today in Savannah, Georgia.

$7.5 billion federal credit program opens for dam safety projects
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is accepting applications for a new $7.5 billion credit assistance program, the Corps Water Infrastructure Financing Program (CWIFP), for dam safety projects. By providing low-cost, long-term, flexible loans for dam safety projects, the CWIFP will accelerate non-federal investment in the nation’s dam infrastructure.

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers announced today that it will waive day use fees normally charged at boat launch ramps and swimming beaches at its recreation areas nationwide in recognition of National Public Lands Day (NPLD) on Saturday, Sept. 23.

U.S. Army Corps of Engineers conducts Change of Responsibility and retirement ceremony
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers today conducted a Change of Responsibility ceremony between outgoing Command Sgt. Maj. Patrickson Toussaint, the 14th USACE command sergeant major, and incoming Command Sgt. Maj. Douglas W. Galick, at Fort Belvoir, Virginia. The ceremony was followed by a retirement ceremony for Toussaint.

Senator Carper awarded Gold de Fleury Medal
Lt. Gen. Scott A. Spellmon, the 55th Chief of Engineers and commanding general of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, presented U.S. Senator Tom Carper of Delaware with the Gold de Fleury award on behalf of the Army Engineer Association during a ceremony today in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware.
