  • Lane Closure and Width Restrictions to Begin on F28 (Mehaffey Bridge Rd.) at Iowa River/Coralville Reservoir Bridge

    Johnson County, Iowa – Traffic will be restricted to a single lane with stoplight control at the Mehaffey Bridge over the Iowa River/Coralville Reservoir in unincorporated Johnson County beginning Monday, March 30, 2015. A maximum vehicle width restriction of 9’-6" will be in place at the bridge location during this phase of the construction.

  • Corps to adjust Lake Okeechobee flows

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Jacksonville District plans a further reduction in flows over the next week from Lake Okeechobee. The adjustment in discharges will take place tomorrow (March 27). The new target flow for the St. Lucie Estuary will be a seven-day average of 500 cfs as measured at St. Lucie Lock & Dam (S-80) near Stuart. The target flow for the Caloosahatchee Estuary is unchanged at a seven-day average of 2,500 cubic feet per second (cfs) as measured W.P. Franklin Lock (S-79) near Fort Myers.
  • Army Corps to reduce Reedy Point Bridge traffic to one lane

    PHILADELPHIA (March 26, 2015) –- Traffic on the Reedy Point Bridge will be reduced to one lane beginning the morning of April 1 to enable the replacement of a fence over the bridge, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers’ Philadelphia District announced today. The Army Corps expects the one-lane restriction to remain in effect until approximately May 1. During that period traffic will be controlled by portable traffic signals at each end of the lane that remains open.
