• Lake Sakakawea Campgrounds 2017 Changes

    Reservations are now open for campsites at Lake Sakakawea. There are several changes for the 2017 recreation camping season, but prices remain the same. Reservations for sites within the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Campgrounds must be made through Reserve America, either online at Recreation.gov, or by calling the toll free reservation line at 1-877-444-6777. Same day reservations will be available by calling the toll free number. Cash and checks will no longer be accepted at East Totten Trail or Wolf Creek Campgrounds.

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers has completed the last of nine structural repair projects related to damages caused by Hurricane Sandy. Among the most recently completed projects were repairs to breakwaters located in Cleveland Harbor, Fairport Harbor, Lorain Harbor, and the Port Clinton East jetty.

    STARBUCK, Wash. – Access to Little Goose Lock and Dam’s tailrace fishing wall and day-use area will be temporarily closed Jan. 5-7, according to operations officials at the dam. The bascule bridge crossing the downstream navigation lock approach will be inaccessible during those days to accommodate critical lock gate work.

    NEW JERSEY – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, New York District in partnership with New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection announces two public information meetings to be held in Union County, N.J. on January 11th and 12th, 2017 to discuss the Draft Integrated Feasibility Report (DIFR) and Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) for the Rahway River Flood Risk Management Study. The 45-day public comment period for the DIFR and EIS was initiated on December 9, 2016 and will conclude on January 23, 2017.
