    Members of the Memphis District stay busy with work, but that doesn’t keep them from finding time to help those around us in need. Two employees in particular, Regional Technical Specialist Jamie Evans and Contract Specialist Sequoria Wilson, managed to coordinate clothing drives recently to give to the homeless in our local area, each doing so on separate occasions.
  • Upper Barataria Louisiana Draft Feasibility Report available for review

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers released its Upper Barataria Basin – Feasibility Study with Integrated Environmental Impact Statement for a 45-day public review and comment period. The study’s purpose is to evaluate potential alternatives to reduce the risk to human life, health, and safety; reduce flood and economic impacts to structures, evacuation routes, and critical infrastructure; and increase community resiliency before, during, and after flooding events.

    VICKSBURG, Miss. – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Vicksburg District’s Grenada Lake Field Office is hosting waterfowl hunts Dec.14-15, 2019; Jan. 11-12, 2020; and Jan. 18-19, 2020. To be eligible for participation, youth hunters must be between the ages of 10 and 15 and be accompanied by an adult at least 21 years of age. Participants are encouraged to possess a general knowledge of state and federal waterfowl hunting regulations and will be held responsible for meeting said regulations.
