Zavoral & Sons, Inc. of East Grand Forks, Minnesota, yesterday, March 11, to complete the Southern Embankment Reach SE-2B portion of the Fargo, North Dakota/Moorhead, Minnesota, Metropolitan Area Flood Risk Management Project, which is also known as the FM Area Diversion.

    ST. PAUL, Minn. – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, St. Paul District, awarded a $13.2 million contract to HSG Park Joint Venture 2, LLC of Harvey, North Dakota, yesterday, Feb. 27, to complete the Southern Embankment Reach SE-1B portion of the Fargo, North Dakota/Moorhead, Minnesota, Metropolitan Area Flood Risk Management Project, which is also known as the FM Area Diversion.

    WALLA WALLA, Wash. – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Walla Walla District has awarded a $1.9 million contract to Northbank Civil & Marine, Inc. to conduct a rehabilitation and improvement project on Russell Creek Canal, part of the Mill Creek Flood Control Project near Walla Walla, Washington.
  • District awards contract for Kenai coastal erosion project

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers – Alaska District awarded a construction contract for the Kenai River Bluffs Erosion Project. Western Marine Construction of Seattle, Washington, will construct a protective rock berm approximately 5,000 feet in length along the north bank of the Kenai River. It will require the placement of about 42,400 cubic yards of armor rock; 33,200 cubic yards of crushed rock and 13,100 cubic yards of gravel base. Funded by the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law, this construction contract award is valued at about $19.3 million.
  • Corps awards contract for bank stabilization near Fountain City, Wisconsin

    ST. PAUL, Minn. – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, St. Paul District, awarded a $347,400 contract to LS Marine, Inc., out of Inver Grove Heights, Minnesota, Nov. 16, for bank stabilization at Wilds Bend, near Fountain City, Wisconsin, in Pool 5 of the Mississippi River. Wilds Bend is a temporary dredged material, or river sand, storage site.

    ST. PAUL, Minn. – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, St. Paul District, awarded a $374,400 contract to LS Marine, Inc., out of Inver Grove Heights, Minnesota, Nov. 16, for bank stabilization at Corps Island, near Diamond Bluff, Wisconsin in Pool 3 of the Mississippi River. Corps Island is a temporary dredged material, or river sand, storage site.
  • Maintenance dredging contract award: South Atlantic Division Regional Harbor Dredging Contract

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Wilmington District awarded a $23.9 million contract to Manson Construction Company on September 15, 2023, for the maintenance dredging of the Savannah Harbor, Georgia; the Brunswick Harbor, Georgia; and the Wilmington Harbor, North Carolina.
  • Contract awarded for levee work for the West Shore Lake Pontchartrain project

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, New Orleans District, recently awarded a contract for constructing the first levee reach on the West Shore Lake Pontchartrain (WSLP) Hurricane and Storm Damage Risk Reduction project. This contract will construct approximately one mile of the 17.5-mile-long levee system that will provide 100-year level risk reduction to the area extending from the Bonnet Carre’ spillway to Garyville.
