• USACE to host Pipestem Dam open house in Jamestown, North Dakota, Nov. 1

    OMAHA, Neb. – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Omaha District announced it will begin a multi-year project this fall to rebuild the spillway at Pipestem Dam near Jamestown in Stutsman County, North Dakota. Construction of a modified spillway and new additional features in the spillway area will reduce the likelihood of erosion should the spillway experience significant flow from the Pipestem Reservoir.

  • Levee raise contract for about $15 million awarded by USACE Kansas City District for Missouri River near St. Joseph

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Kansas City District awarded the Missouri River Levee System unit R471-460 levee raise north of US-36 contract to H.B. Construction, Inc., from Platte City, Missouri, for $14,178,505.38 on Sept. 16, 2022. This is the largest contract awarded on the R471-460 and L455 levee unit and is the fifth out of six contracts on the overall project.
