Army Corps of Engineers Southwestern Division, through its Galveston District, is involved in virtually every mile of the 367-mile coastline, and plays an integral role in both the preservation of Nature’s treasures that are a living part of the Texas coastal region as well as serving and preserving the industries that fuel commerce and power our nation.

Gen.Thomas Kula, tasked the Division Logistics Office with improving property accountability and reducing the environmental impact of Corps-related activities throughout SWD. To accomplish this task, Kula highlighted the need to achieve property accountability throughout the Division; reduce operating costs and environmental impacts associated with the current vehicle fleet; and improve the efficiency of Corps-owned facilities.
