    BOISE, Idaho – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (Corps) Walla Walla District and the Idaho Water Resources Board (IWRB) will conduct a series of scoping meetings to support the Boise River Feasibility Study and Environmental Impact Statement. The IWRB is the non-federal sponsor for the study, which will focus on ways to reduce flood risk, and meet current and future water supply in the lower Boise River watershed.

Lone Point Campground has become a little unknown secret among campgrounds at Lake Shelbyville. The Open House will allow visitors an opportunity to camp at one of 78 sites for free while enjoying some of the renovations within the park. Some of the renovations include a new park entrance and fee booth, electric upgrades to a few sites, extensive campsite and roadway pruning, comfort station painting and reroofing, and a fire pit constructed within the Walleye Group Camp.

PAUL, Minn. – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, St. Paul District, will close its three twin cities locks to commercial navigation at 4 p.m. today, when flows surpass 40,000 cubic feet per second, or cfs. The three locks were closed to recreation boaters Sunday, April 27, when flows exceeded 30,000 cfs.
