    Vicksburg, Miss…Samuel J. Horton, Area Engineer of the Greenwood Area Office, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Vicksburg District, retired recently with over 39 years of service. Sam began his career with the Corps in 1977 as a civil engineer in the Vicksburg District’s Construction Division. He later worked as a project engineer in the Greenwood Area Office.

  • HIGHWAY 178 BRIDGE ACROSS BULL SHOALS DAM TO TEMPORARILY CLOSE

    MOUNTAIN HOME, Ark. – The Corps of Engineers will close both lanes of Highway 178 across Bull Shoals Dam from 8 a.m. until 6 p.m. June 6 and 7 to install equipment needed to refurbish the tainter gates on Bull Shoals Dam.
