• Oceanside navigational dredging update Aug. 18

    Navigational dredging within Oceanside Harbor continued this week with the contractor, CJW Construction, reporting having removed approximately 35,000 cubic yards of material from the harbor’s entrance channels from Aug. 11 through 17.

The Castle Award recognizes employees who work in support of the operations and maintenance of civil works infrastructure while demonstrating Army values, Corps vision, as well as command mission.

    Fort Worth, Texas native Randy L. Roberts has been named the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Real Estate Professional of the Year. Roberts’ exemplary and exceptional service to the U.S. Army, Real Estate Community of Practice, and to the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Southwestern Division (SWD) elevated him to top honors.

  • Work surges ahead at Olmsted during low water season

    The stars have aligned for the Army Corps of Engineers Olmsted Locks and Dam project on the lower Ohio River at Olmsted, Illinois. The project team has leveraged optimal low water river conditions, mixed batches upon batches of concrete to make shells, and has activated all its workforce during the busiest year of construction. Funding has propelled the project forward.
