    Navigational dredging within Oceanside Harbor continued this week with the contractor, CJW Construction, reporting having removed approximately 29,613 cubic yards of material from the harbor’s entrance channels from Oct. 20 through 26.

  • Missouri River Recovery Implementation Committee to meet in Omaha

    The Missouri River Recovery Implementation Committee (MRRIC) will hold its 35th meeting here Nov. 15-17, 2016. The meetings are open to the public; members of the public will have an opportunity during each daily session to address the committee and the lead federal agencies – the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (Corps) and the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (Service) – regarding the Missouri River Recovery Program (MRRP).

    The concrete footings of the Broadway Bridge in Little Rock are scheduled to be demolished at 9 a.m. on Oct. 30. The main navigation channel is scheduled to be closed from 8:30 a.m. – 10 a.m. The safety zone previously established by the U.S. Coast Guard remains in effect from NM 118.6 to NM 119.6.

  • Stockton Lake to host annual managed deer hunt

    STOCKTON, Mo., — The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers at Stockton Lake and The Stockton Lions Club will host the 19th Annual Stockton Lake Managed Deer Hunt for people with physical disabilities Nov. 5 and 6, 2016, in Hawker Point, Masters and Orleans Trail South parks. The hunt is limited to people with disabilities, or those permanently confined to wheelchairs, walkers, canes or crutches. Using a random drawing for those that met the selection criteria, 20 individuals were selected for this managed hunt.
