• USACE Releases Hudson-Raritan Estuary Feasibility Report

    NEW YORK, NY (March 6, 2017) – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), New York District, announces the availability of Draft Integrated Feasibility Report and Environmental Assessment (Draft FR/EA) and the opening of a 45-day review period for the public to submit written comments for the Hudson-Raritan Estuary (HRE) Ecosystem Restoration Feasibility Study. The Draft FR/EA addresses the impacts associated with implementation of ecosystem restoration actions within the HRE Study Area defined as a 25-mile radius of the Statue of Liberty National Monument.

    AHSAHKA, Idaho – Water discharge from Dworshak Dam near Orofino, Idaho, will increase moderately beginning tonight from 8 p.m to 9 p.m. and each night through late next week as regional water managers work to control flows from the reservoir into the North Fork of the Clearwater River to meet flood-risk-management requirements. Dworshak flows are about 12,500 cfs (cubic feet per second) early this evening. Flows will increase 1,000 cfs beginning tonight at 8 p.m., then be increased 1,000 cfs each night between 8 p.m. and 9 p.m. until flows reach 22,000 cfs late next week. The elevation of the Clearwater River is expected to minimally fluctuate during this gradual increase in flows.
