Corps welcomes new commander to the Northwestern Division
At a relinquishment of command ceremony today, Col. Torry A. DiCiro assumed command of the Northwestern Division office of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. He succeeds Maj. Gen. Scott A. Spellmon who served as commander since July 2015.

Fort Peck Interpretive Center and Campgrounds open
The Fort Peck Interpretive Center is now open daily from 9a.m. to 5 p.m. Educational activities will begin Memorial Day weekend and continue each weekend through Labor Day.

Corps of Engineers discontinues study to modify operations at Foster J. Sayers Dam
Baltimore District has announced that it is discontinuing its study in collaboration with the Susquehanna River Basin Commission to make operational modifications at Foster J. Sayers Dam to sustain aquatic habitat during historical low-flow conditions. Current operations will be maintained.

The 2018 Public Involvement Plan (PIP) discusses the public involvement activities that will be implemented to both maintain and improve communication efforts between USACE and stakeholders as part of USACE’s ongoing Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act (CERCLA) remedial response effort at FNOD.
