MKARNS - Mariners are advised that the scheduled completion date for the work(noted in Nav Notice SWL 20-44) on the left descending pier protection cell for the Interstate-30 Bridge at NM 118.5 in Little Rock has been extended to Feb 22, 2021.

Oregon Wildfires Temporary Housing Mission
Jason Ritter, Randy Campbell, Mike Johnson, Steve Caldwell and Cecil Cox have deployed to support wildfire recovery efforts in Oregon supporting the Portland District. FEMA Region X approved 3 counties in Oregon for a temporary housing mission. Wildfires have displaced nearly 800 families who are eligible for federal assistance.

The. U.S Army Corps of Engineers has announced that road work at the entrance to the Cold Brook Recreation Area, in South Dakota, will cause restricted access and intermittent closures beginning Oct. 22.

Winter changes to Lower Columbia River recreational lock schedule
Recreational boaters who need to move through the three lower Columbia River dams’ locks must do so during daylight hours, on request. This change began September 30 and will continue until May 15, 2021 at Bonneville, The Dalles and John Day. This is an annual and a regularly scheduled part of operations during the winter season.

Federal and State Partners Celebrate CEPP South Groundbreaking
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Jacksonville District hosted a groundbreaking ceremony today at the S-333 water control structure in western Miami-Dade County, bringing together members of the South Florida Ecosystem Restoration Task Force to celebrate the first contract for the Central Everglades Planning Project, a project designed to improve flows south to Everglades National Park.
