WIFIA Available Funding

CWIFP is authorized by the Water Infrastructure Finance and Innovation Act (WIFIA) which was signed into law on June 10, 2014 as part of the Water Resources Reform and Development Act of 2014. The Act established Federal credit programs to be administered by USACE and the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) for eligible water and wastewater infrastructure projects.

CWIFP Notice of Funding Availability

CWIFP’s Notice of Funding Availability (NOFA) was posted in the Federal Register, opening its inaugural 90-day application period for submitting an application (September 20-December 19, 2023) . The NOFA formally opens the program for non-federal dam safety projects and provides interested borrowers with instructions on the application process.
