WIFIA Available Funding
CWIFP is authorized by the Water Infrastructure Finance and Innovation Act (WIFIA) which was signed into law on June 10, 2014 as part of the Water Resources Reform and Development Act of 2014. The Act established Federal credit programs to be administered by USACE and the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) for eligible water and wastewater infrastructure projects.
CWIFP Notice of Funding Availability
The application period for the FY2023 Notice of Funding Availability closed on December 19, 2023. The NOFA formally opened the program for non-federal safety projects and provided interested borrowers with instructions on the application process. Additional funding rounds are dependent on future appropriations.
