  • St. Tammany Parish Feasibility Study virtual public scoping meetings scheduled

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, New Orleans District has scheduled two virtual public scoping meetings regarding the St. Tammany Parish, Louisiana Feasibility Study. The meetings will be streamed on the district’s Facebook page on Tuesday, July 14 at 1 p.m. and Wednesday, July 15 at 6 p.m. The general public, interested parties, and stakeholders are invited to comment on the study. Comments will be accepted through August 3, 2020 when the comment period ends.

  • Missouri River water management public meeting presentations available online

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers’ Missouri River Water Management Division has released four videos of presentations that would normally be given at public meetings held throughout the Missouri River Basin. In-person public meetings on Missouri River Mainstem Reservoir System operations originally scheduled for April were canceled to further reduce potential exposure to COVID-19. Instead, the agency will host virtual question and answer sessions in late April.     Portland, Oregon - Evolving health and safety policies from our regional partners designed to hinder the spread of COVID-19 in Washington and Oregon have prompted federal officials to replace all scheduled in-person public comment meetings with phone-in meetings for the recently released Columbia River System Operation draft Environmental Impact Statement.
