Army Corps announces road closure at Francis E. Walter Dam
The U.S. Army Corps Engineers’ Philadelphia District announced sections of Walter Dam Road (and through traffic between Bear Creek Road and Route 940) will be closed from April 26 through June 30 for repairs and road reconstruction.

The U.S. Army Corps Engineers’ Philadelphia District announced the schedule for the final water release of the recreation season for the Francis E. Walter Dam in White Haven, PA.

Army Corps updates road closure status at Francis E. Walter Dam
The U.S. Army Corps Engineers’ Philadelphia District announced the Route 940 entrance to the Francis E. Walter Dam will reopen on Sept. 18, 2020. The Bear Creek White Haven Road entrance to the dam will then close to traffic as road repairs shift to that area. Road repairs and paving work has been ongoing since June 2020 and is being conducted in phases.

USACE has issued $1.2M in Flood Control and Coastal Emergency Funding for the provision of flood response technical expertise, and management of flood response supplies and equipment. #Helene (As of 2 Oct)

USACE has received 14 @FEMA Mission Assignments for #Helene, including National Activation, Regional Activations, Temporary Emergency Power, and Debris Management/Oversight totaling $39.3M. (As of 2 Oct)

157 USACE personnel are deployed, coordinating with partners in the affected areas following #Helene. Additionally, 61 USACE personnel are supporting response efforts via reach-back, and USACE has 170 contractor personnel deployed. (As of 2 Oct)
