    NASHVILLE, Tenn. (Feb. 17, 2021) – Officials honored a structural engineer with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Nashville District as a “Modern-Day Technology Leader” during the 35th Black Engineer of the Year Awards’ Technology Recognition Ceremony Feb. 12 in Detroit, Michigan.

(Dec. 10, 2020) – The public is invited to watch a newly released video that highlights how water is managed in the Cumberland River Basin in support of flood risk management, commercial navigation, hydropower production, water supply, environmental stewardship, and recreational opportunities.

    Deputy commander promoted to lieutenant colonel

    NASHVILLE, Tenn. (Aug. 28, 2020) – The deputy commander of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Nashville District received a promotion to the rank of lieutenant colonel today during a ceremony at the district’s headquarters that was also seen virtually via WebEx.

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Nashville District places concrete for the first monolith on the Chickamauga Lock Replacement Project Oct. 17, 2019 on the Tennessee River in Chattanooga, Tennessee. At the Chickamauga Lock Replacement Project, aa Tennessee Valley Authority project, the Nashville District is currently executing the lock chamber contract for the new 110-foot by 600-foot navigation lock, which includes 285,000 cubic yards of reinforced concrete.     NASHVILLE, Tenn. (Feb. 19, 2020) – The Nashville District recognized its newest professional engineers during a ceremony today as part of National Engineers Week activities.
