Minneapolis locks closing for the end of navigation season

ST. PAUL, Minn. – Due to the arrival of winter, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, St. Paul District, is closing its Lower St. Anthony Falls lock and Lock and Dam 1 to commercial and recreational vessels for the end of the navigation season on Saturday Nov. 7.

Corps of Engineers hosting Lock and Dam 1 open house during Highland Fest

ST. PAUL, Minn. – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, St. Paul District, is hosting an open house at Lock and Dam 1, located near Minnehaha Park in Minneapolis, Saturday, July 18, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. The lock and dam, often referred to as the Ford Dam, is located at 5000 West River Parkway, Minneapolis. It is also adjacent to Minnehaha Park.
