Corps, partners host Long Tom River dam modification info session

The City of Monroe, Oregon, and the Confederated Tribes of Siletz Indians have entered an agreement with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (Corps) to study the feasibility of improving fish passage near the Monroe drop structure on the Long Tom River. Public participation and feedback are important, and the Corps and its partners will seek input during an info session Nov. 3, 4-5 p.m.

NR 20-026: Nashville District recognizes ‘Clean Marina’ recertifications

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (Oct. 27, 2020) – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Nashville District recently completed two “Clean Marina” recertifications and recognized both for meeting established standards for clean water and environmental stewardship in the Cumberland River Basin.

NR 15-024: Sunset Marina flying new ‘Clean Marina’ flag

NASHVILLE, TENN., (July 2, 2015) - The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Nashville District supports marina operators and owners who are voluntarily striving to protect the water resources of the Cumberland River Basin by going “clean and green” such as Sunset Marina in Monroe, Tenn. The Corps, Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency, Cumberland River Compact, and Sunset Marina celebrated June 22, 2015 as the marina received their recertification and a new flag to designate them as a “Clean Marina.”
