Corps, utilities restore power to McKenzie River area after Holiday Farm Fire

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and several utilities successfully bring reliable power to the McKenzie River, Oregon area using Cougar Dam, Oct. 6. Lane Electric, Petersen Cat, Bonneville Power Administration and the Corps worked to “island” Blue River with the nearby dam.

Corps, City receive award; saves taxpayers $35 million

KANSAS CITY, Mo.—Kansas City Mayor Sly James and Col. Anthony J. Hofmann, commander of the Kansas City District U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, were presented with the Alphonse J. Dell’Isola Award for Outstanding Accomplishment in Construction by Strategic Value Solutions, Inc. during a presentation at the Richard Bolling Federal Building Nov. 28.

Corps to install gate at Blue River Saddle Dam launch
