    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is canceling the full road closure for Highway 177 across Norfork Dam that was previously scheduled for Oct. 7 and 8. New dates have not been selected at this time.
  • USACE announces 2023 camping fee increase at Greers Ferry Lake

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers will increase camping fees at Greers Ferry Lake beginning Jan. 1. Non-electric sites will increase to $18, electric sites (30/20 amp) $22, electric (50 amp) $24, electric (30/20 amp and water) $26 and electric (50 amp and water) $28. The fees are used to recover a portion of the cost of administering, operating, maintaining and improving the parks.

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Greers Ferry Project Office would like to remind visitors that as of Sept.15 Cove Creek, Sugar Loaf, Shiloh, Hill Creek, Mill Creek and Narrows parks were closed for the season.

  • Warning horn below Beaver Dam fully restored

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers restored the warning horn at Beaver Dam this week. USACE installed a temporary horn after the main one went offline in February.

  • Water Safety this 4th of July

    Arkansas Senator John Boozman and Congressman Bruce Westerman took time out of their schedule to talk about water safety with Little Rock District Commander, Colonel Eric Noe. Topics discussed were drinking alcohol while boating and wearing your life jacket when you are in or near the water. There have been seven drownings this year in the Little Rock District.
