  • Public invited to meetings scheduled for upcoming Water Control Manual updates

    Updates to Water Control Manuals and reviews of the Water Control Plans for Melvern, Pomona and Hillsdale Dams and Reservoirs will be the subject of a series of public meetings held by the Kansas City District, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, in March 2024. Congress provided funding and direction to USACE districts across the country do make administrative updates to the Water Control Manuals, to evaluate Water Control Plans and update as necessary and include a drought contingency plan for managing water releases from reservoirs during drought conditions.
  • Corps of Engineers hosts third public meeting on Red Lake water control plan

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, St. Paul District, is updating its water control plan for Upper and Lower Red lakes in northern Minnesota and will host its third public meeting from 5:30–7:30 p.m. at the Redby Community Center, Redby, Minnesota, Feb. 12.

  • Amite River feasibility study public meetings postponed

    Out of an abundance of caution due to expected winter weather conditions, the in-person meetings for the Amite River and Tributaries, East of the Mississippi River, Louisiana Supplemental Second Draft Integrated Feasibility Report and Environmental Assessment #600 scheduled for Tuesday and Wednesday of next week have been cancelled and virtual meetings will now be held instead on Jan. 18.

PAUL, Minn. – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, St. Paul District, is seeking public comments on its draft Environmental Assessment, or EA, for Big Lake habitat rehabilitation and enhancement study on the Upper Mississippi River near Wabasha, Minnesota and will host a public meeting Nov. 8 at Wabasha-Kellogg High School to discuss the project.
