  • Rivers Project Master Plan Update Public Comment Period

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, St. Louis District, invites your review and comments regarding the revised draft “Rivers Project Master Plan Update” with accompanying “Finding of No Significant Impact (FONSI)” and “Environmental Assessment (EA)”. The Rivers Project Master Plan is a conceptual document that guides public use and natural resource management of over 48,000 acres of federal lands for environmental stewardship and recreation related purposes. The current Master Plan was approved in 2015. The Project area for the Master Plan extends from Mississippi River Mile 0, at Cairo, Illinois; upstream to the tail water of Locks and Dam 22, Mississippi River Mile 301, at Saverton, Missouri. Most the Project’s public lands are upstream of St. Louis, Missouri.  The lower 80 miles of the Illinois River is also managed by Rivers Project and is therefore included in the update. This management effort also includes coordination with federal and state agencies, and non-governmental organizations.

  • Public invited to attend meeting for Jefferson City spin-off study draft report

    Officials will hold a public meeting for the Lower Missouri Jefferson City spin-off study draft report on Jan. 8, 2025, in Jefferson City, Missouri. The meeting, which will be held by the Kansas City District, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and the Missouri Department of Natural Resources, will provide an overview of the spin-off study draft report and an open discussion. This is an opportunity for the public to ask questions regarding the Lower Missouri Jefferson City spin-off study.

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Nashville District plans to hold a public meeting at the Agricultural Learning Center in Byrdstown, Tennessee on November 18th from 5:00 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. to present the draft Environmental Assessment for the proposed Sunset Marina and Resort expansion project.

    JACKSONVILLE Fla. – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Jacksonville District invites our partners, the public and stakeholders to the draft 2024 Integrated Delivery Schedule public engagement workshop by the South Florida Ecosystem Restoration Task Force on Tuesday, Oct. 29, 2024 at 1 p.m. at the South Florida Water Management District Auditorium in West Palm Beach, Fla. This meeting will also have an option to attend virtually.

  • Corps of Engineers announces public meeting for Foxland Harbor Marina

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Nashville District plans to hold a public meeting at Volunteer State Community College October 24th from 5:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. to present the draft Environmental Assessment for the proposed Foxland Harbor Marina project. The public is invited to share feedback with the Nashville District team at this event.

  • Corps of Engineers to host meeting on Lock 25 expansion with area residents and community members

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, St. Louis District, will host a meeting to provide additional information on the new 1,200-foot lock at Lock and Dam 25. The meeting will be held at Winfield City Hall, 51 Harry's Way, Winfield, Missouri, Oct. 29, from 5-7 p.m. Formal presentations will occur at 5 p.m., after which project team members will be available to provide information, answer questions, and discuss the project with attendees.

  • Public encouraged to submit input on Lower Osage Ecosystem Restoration Feasibility Study

    Officials will hold two public meetings to solicit formal public input on the environmental analysis and recommendations from the Lower Osage Ecosystem Restoration Feasibility Study. The meetings, which will be hosted by the Missouri Department of Natural Resources and the Kansas City District, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, will be an opportunity for members of the public to submit written comments regarding the study’s environmental analysis.

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), Jacksonville District, announces date change to virtual informational meeting to address comments from stakeholders and the public regarding USACE and South Florida Water Management District’s (SFWMD) development of the Central Everglades Planning Project (CEPP), Everglades Agricultural Area (EAA), A-2 Stormwater Treatment Area (STA) Operational Plan. The meeting has changed from Sept. 26 to Oct. 4.

    Officials are hosting a public outreach meeting in Brunswick, Missouri, on Thursday, September 12, 2024, to discuss progress on the flood resiliency study near Brunswick. The meeting will be held at the American Legion Hall Post #7 209 W. Broadway St., Brunswick, MO, 65236. It is hosted by the Kansas City District, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and the Missouri Department of Natural Resources. The meeting room is ADA accessible.
