• Corps resumes Lake Traverse releases

    ST. PAUL, Minn. – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, St. Paul District, will increase releases at Reservation Dam at Lake Traverse, near Wheaton, Minnesota, beginning Feb. 16, and at White Rock Dam at Mud Lake, near Wheaton, Minnesota, beginning Feb. 17.

  • Louisville District’s National Roofing Program sets standard for Army Reserve facilities

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Louisville District received its nationwide Army Reserve mission and the Air Force Reserve mission in the 1990’s and, since then, countless facilities have been designed and constructed by the district. There are several subprograms that are centrally managed out of the Army Reserve Branch of the Louisville District Project Management Division, one of which is the National Roofing Program, also known as NRP.

    On February 15, U.S. Ambassador Mary Beth Leonard and U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Brig. Gen. Thomas Tickner visited Kainji Air Force Base to break ground on the final phase of the $38 million construction project for the A-29 Super Tucanos’ support facilities. They were joined by the Deputy Director for the Air Force Security Assistance and Cooperation Directorate Ronald Taylor and senior Nigerian Air Force officials.
