    Midwinter Bald Eagle Watch at Abiquiu Lake

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers at Abiquiu Lake will be hosting its annual Midwinter Eagle Watch event on Saturday, Jan. 7, 2017, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. The event is open to the public and volunteers will be meeting at the Abiquiu Lake Project Office.

    Draft Missouri River Recovery Management Plan and EIS available for public comment

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Kansas City and Omaha Districts, announce six public meetings to be held in conjunction with the release of the Draft Missouri River Recovery Management Plan and Environmental Impact Statement. The Notice of Availability will be published in the Federal Register on Dec. 23, 2016; the public comment period will run Dec. 23, 2016-Feb. 24, 2017. The public meetings will be held Feb. 7-9, 2017, and Feb. 14-16, 2017.

    WASHINGTON (Dec. 16, 2016) - The Department of the Army, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), today released and is seeking comment on a proposed rule to update and clarify its policies governing the use of USACE reservoir projects for domestic, municipal and industrial water supply pursuant to Section 6 of the Flood Control Act of 1944, 33 U.S.C. § 708 (Section 6), and the Water Supply Act of 1958, 43 U.S.C. § 390b (WSA).

    Allatoona Lake to accept Christmas trees for recycling

    MOBILE, Ala. - The U. S. Army Corps of Engineers is scheduled to accept unwanted, live Christmas trees for recycling Dec. 26, 2016 through Jan. 21, 2017 at Allatoona Lake. Artificial trees will not be accepted. USACE will provide seven (7) drop-off sites.
