USACE awards contract to dredge Cleveland Harbor in 2017

Buffalo, NY—The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Buffalo District has awarded a contract to Ryba Marine Construction to dredge sediment from Cleveland Harbor’s upper federal navigation channel during the Fall of 2017 with an option to dredge in the Spring of 2018. All dredged materials will be placed in a confined disposal facility.

Change of Command for Mississippi Valley Division

Maj. Gen. Michael C. Wehr will transfer command of the Mississippi Valley Division (MVD), U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, to Maj. Gen. Richard G. Kaiser in a formal change of command ceremony Sept. 7. The ceremony will be officiated by the Corps' Chief of Engineers Lt. Gen. Todd T. Corps making final preparations for 3 major projects at Tuttle Creek Dam

MANHATTAN, Kan. — The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Kansas City District, is finalizing timelines with contractors to mobilize and begin work on three major construction projects near Tuttle Creek Dam. These projects include rehabilitation of service gates 3 and 4 located in the lakeside intake tower, rehabilitation of the stilling basin (locally known as “the tubes”) located below the dam, both in Riley County, and replacement of the bridge deck over the dam’s spillway at the east of Tuttle Creek Dam in Pottawatomie County.
