Workshops provide guidance for Prado Basin Master Plan update

The Los Angeles District conducted two public workshops with local government agencies, residents and stakeholders on July 13 here at the Eastvale Community Center in order to seek input on existing and future land uses within the Prado Dam basin in support of the Master Plan update.

Special permit archery deer hunt scheduled for Clinton Lake

LAWRENCE, Kan. – The Kansas City District, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers at Clinton Lake announce the opening of the application process for the annual Special Permit Archery Hunt at Bloomington, Rockhaven, and Woodridge Parks. Applicants will be randomly chosen and allowed to hunt is assigned, designated areas from Nov. 1 through Dec. 31, 2017. Applications are due no later than 4:00 p.m. Friday, Sept. 1, 2017.

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Jacksonville District issued a Department of the Army (DA) permit to the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT), District 4 and the County of Palm Beach for the construction of a new roadway extension of State Road (SR) 7 from 60th Street North to Northlake Boulevard in Palm Beach County. Draft Supplemental Environmental Assessment for land use reclassification at the Oahe Project available for public review

A draft environmental assessment to evaluate the impacts of reclassifying the land use of approximately 125 acres at the Oahe Project in South Dakota is currently available for public review. Management Unit 60, also known as Sibley Nature Park, would be reclassified from Environmentally Sensitive to Multiple Resource Management – Low Density Recreation. If determined that there are no significant impacts, this change would be documented in the Oahe Dam/Lake Oahe Master Plan. Comments must be postmarked or received no later than August 23, 2017.
