  • Army Corps awards final contract for Delaware River deepening project

    PHILADELPHIA – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers has awarded Contract No. W912BU-17-C-0020, Upper Reach B, to Norfolk Dredging Company in the amount of $50,273,354.50. This represents the 10th and final dredging contract for the Delaware River Main Channel Deepening Project, deepening the Delaware River federal navigation channel from 40 to 45 feet between Philadelphia and the sea. The project is a joint effort of the Army Corps’ Philadelphia District and PhilaPort.

    ST. PAUL, Minn. – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, St. Paul District, is extending the comment period its draft Environmental Assessment for its Lower Pool 4 dredged material management plan. The new deadline is Aug. 25.
