NR 12-028: Corps dedicating new Cordell Hull Lake Resource Manager’s Office

CARTHAGE, Tenn. (July 16, 2012) – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Nashville District is hosting a dedication ceremony for the newly constructed Cordell Hull Lake Resource Manager’s Office 9 a.m. Friday, July 20. The new facility replaces the previous building destroyed in a fire Sept. 26, 2008. The public and media are invited to the 9 a.m. dedication and an open house following the ceremony from 10 a.m. to noon.

NR 12-015: Lake Barkley hydro units generate during TVA emergency

GRAND RIVERS, Ky. (May 23, 2012) – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Nashville District responded to a Tennessee Valley Authority request today to ramp up its hydro power generation at the Lake Barkley Dam Power House.

Firefighters Bed Down at Corps’ Campground

As of July 11, the Las Conchas fire continues to burn and has scarred nearly 150,000 acres of Santa Fe National Forest in Sandoval, Los Alamos and Rio Arriba counties in northern New Mexico and has caused eight injuries.
