  • MKARNS Annual Navigation Notice No. 1-2025

    As a result of partnering efforts with navigation stakeholders, the attached consolidated Notice to Navigation Interests has been prepared for the McClellan-Kerr Arkansas River Navigation System (MKARNS). The intent is to provide consistency by reviewing and informing current district regulations with a joint notice that will be updated annually. The notice is applicable to the Little Rock (SWL) and Tulsa (SWT) Districts.
  • MKARNS Nav Notice No. SWL 25-13 Lock 3 Intermittent Delays 

    Mariners should expect to experience intermittent delays at Joe Hardin Lock (No. 3) NM 50.2 on February 27, 2025, between the hours of 6:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. The intermittent delays are required to facilitate work on the hydraulic system.

    Little Rock District Logistics team triumphs in 2024. The SWL team achieved a near perfect score on the 2024 Command Logistics Review Program Inspection and provided flawless support during emergency operations, with six deployments for the Logistics Planning and Response Team (LPRT), Blue Roof, and Debris teams.

    During a bi-annual DHA Summit Dec. 10-13 at the U.S. Army Engineering and Support Center, Huntsville (Huntsville Center), more than 100 representatives from DHA, and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers gathered to listen and learn from each other to ensure military hospitals and clinics worldwide provide the support required to care for the joint force.

  • USACE issues small craft advisory for Arkansas River

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is issuing a small craft advisory for the McClellan-Kerr Arkansas River Navigation System in Arkansas. Heavy rainfall in Eastern Oklahoma and Western Arkansas over the last 48 hours is causing Arkansas River flows to exceed 70,000 cubic feet per second systemwide.
