(June 16, 2016) – As part of one of the largest statewide disaster preparedness exercises in Tennessee state history, the US Army Corps of Engineers is hosting the Tennessee Army National Guard for a military security exercise 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday, June 20, 2016 on the powerhouse side of Old Hickory Dam located in Hendersonville, Tenn. The exercise will facilitate the training and coordination necessary between the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Nashville District, which operates the lock and dam, and the National Guard to secure such a critically important facility.
