20-053 Anglers and recreationalists beware of fluctuating water levels on the Clearwater and the North Fork of the Clearwater
Ahsahka, Idaho. – Dworshak Dam powerhouse will conduct testing on one of their hydropower units on October 13 and 14, from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. The test will increase the flow from the powerhouse, resulting in fluctuations of water depth and flow on both the Clearwater and the North Fork of the Clearwater rivers.

20-016 Dworshak Dam postpones opening campgrounds
AHSAHKA, Idaho – U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and Dworshak Dam Ranger staff announces that Dent Acres campground, as well as Canyon Creek and Dam View campgrounds will not open for the season in April as planned. Due to minimum staffing and for visitor safety during this COVID-19 outbreak, Dworshak staff has been directed to postpone opening the campgrounds until a later date. At this time, we cannot give a specific date when the campgrounds will open.

19-057 Dworshak Dam Visitor Center starts summer-season schedule, tours May 24
AHSAHKA, Idaho – Summer is just around the corner and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Dworshak Dam Visitor Center will be open 7 days a week starting Friday, May 24, of Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day weekend. Dam tours will be offered daily at 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. Tours are limited to eight people, and photo identification is required.

19-048 Dworshak Dam discharge flows decrease to 4,400 cfs
AHSAHKA, Idaho – Water discharged from Dworshak Dam and Reservoir was reduced today, Thursday, May 9, from about 9,800 cubic feet per second (cfs) to 4,400 cfs, according to U.S. Army Corps of Engineers reservoir management officials.
