Closures at Perry Lake due to high water

PERRY, Kan.,— Due to the heavy rainfall, Perry Lake is currently experiencing several major closures. All Corps boat ramps are currently closed due to high water. Rock Creek park remains entirely closed as water is over several of the roads. Slough Creek Campground, Longview Campground and Old Town Campground continue to experience significant closures as well.

Perry Lake hosts Wounded Warrior Turkey Hunt

PERRY, Kan.,— The weekend of April 18 and 19 brought rain, cooler weather, and lots of great memories to the Perry Lake area. For the second time, the Perry Lake office held a Wounded Warrior hunt at their Lake site hosting two Soldiers from the Warrior Transition Battalion located at Fort Riley, Kan. This particular hunt afforded the participating Soldiers the chance to harvest two Kansas Turkeys during the Kansas spring turkey season.

More water to be released from three Kansas reservoirs

Releases from Milford, Tuttle Creek and Perry reservoirs in the Kansas River Basin have been providing supplemental Navigation Support to the Missouri River since July 8 and will continue to do so through approximately August 7.
