Higher headquarters observes how Cumberland River Basin supported Greater Mississippi River System during 2011 flood fight

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (July 27, 2012) – When the lower Ohio and Mississippi Rivers experienced a flood of record in the spring of 2011, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Nashville District supported the flood fight by holding back water at its dams in the Cumberland River Basin reservoir system.

District Achieves another First for Tribal Program

In the first meeting of its kind, Robert Isenberg and Maj. Seth Wacker, members of the South Pacific Division’s 59th Forward Engineering Support Team - Advanced (FEST) joined District Tribal Liaison Ron Kneebone in a visit with representatives of two New Mexico Pueblos Dec. 14 and 15. They met with the Pueblo of Santa Clara and the Pueblo de Cochiti to provide the Native American tribes with critically needed engineering support to address local infrastructure issues and to provide FEST members with real-world training.

DeLapp installed as SAME Nashville Post president

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (Dec. 14, 2011) – The Nashville Post of the Society of American Military Engineers installed its new president today during an installation ceremony in the Tennessee Engineering Center at the Adventure Science Center.
