Blue Marsh Lake visitors reminded to play it safe

Memorial Day is the kick off weekend of the summer at Blue Marsh Lake and visitors are encouraged to have fun, stay safe, and make it home alive. Blue Marsh Lake hosts over 900,000 visits annually where people enjoy fishing, boating, hiking and more. While outdoor recreation is fun and healthy, the project staff urges our visitors to plan for the unexpected and think about these three safety tips this Memorial Day.

Blue Marsh Lake to waive fees for Public Lands Day; invites volunteers to assist with projects

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers’ Philadelphia District announced Blue Marsh Lake will waive all day use fees for visitors in celebration of National Public Lands Day Sept. 29 and 30. National Public Lands Day (NPLD), an event held annually in September, showcases our nation’s public lands and the importance of protecting natural resources through responsible use and volunteerism.

Get Outdoors Day makes a splash at Blue Marsh Lake

More than 1000 people celebrated the great outdoors at Blue Marsh Lake on June 9 with kayaking, hiking, fishing and various outdoor and water safety activities.
