    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Europe District announced June 26, 2012 that it has been awarded the first Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design Silver certification of a U.S. facility in Germany. LEED, established by the U.S. Green Building Council, is an internationally recognized program for the design, construction and operation of high performance green buildings.
