NR12-035: Dale Hollow Dam Campground closing Sept. 10, 2012

CELINA, Tenn. (Sept. 5, 2012) – Dale Hollow Dam Campground and its walking trail are closing 2 p.m. Sept. 10, 2012 for work to repair the river bank, parking lot, walking trail and a campsite damaged by flooding in 2010.

NR 12-031: Kendall, Waitsboro campgrounds set for early closure

SOMERSET, Ky. (Aug. 10, 2012) – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Nashville District is closing Kendall and Waitsboro campgrounds at Lake Cumberland earlier than scheduled in 2012 due to internal roadway repairs.

Non-reservable campsites in Minooka at Wilson Lake

Due to public demand, Minooka Park will now have 10 campsites that are non-reservable and available first come, first serve. Historically, Minooka Park has been 100% reservable since 1999. Reservations are allowed six months in advance and a majority of our sites were being reserved well in advance of the summer holiday weekends. By setting aside 10 electrical sites, we are now providing an equal opportunity campsite for families on a first come/first serve basis that do not have the means to plan a vacation six months in advance.

Kendall Annex Campground helps kids to play around

JAMESTOWN, Ky., (Sept. 13, 2011) — Kendall Annex Campground here has been welcoming families since 2006 and is wrapping up its sixth year of operation. For those of you who have not visited the Annex campground recently, it’s getting a new addition to the area! It will soon have playground facilities conveniently located adjacent to the bathhouse and sites 113 and 114.

Dale Hollow Lake seeks shutterbugs for photo contest

CELINA, Tenn. (July 26, 2011) — The Corps of Engineers at Dale Hollow Lake invites visitors to enter their pictures in its quarterly photo contest! Entrants whose photos are selected will receive two nights camping on Dale Hollow Lake.
