  • CORPS SETS SCOPING WORKSHOPS FOR TABLE ROCK SHORELINE MANAGEMENT PLAN UPDATE

    BRANSON, Mo. – The Army Corps of Engineers is hosting the Table Rock Lake Shoreline Management Plan scoping workshops March 26-28 to share information about the update process and to collect public comments concerning shoreline activity around the lake.
  • Harlan County Dam to close for repair project

    REPUBLICAN CITY, Neb.,— The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers at Harlan County Lake is preparing for a closure of the dam to allow the contractor, OCCI Construction of Fulton, Mo., to begin the Tainter Gate Repair Project. During the period from March 2 to March 13, both lanes of the dam will be closed from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily and traffic will be directed to take the designated detour.
  • ONE LANE OF HIGHWAY 178 BRIDGE ACROSS BULL SHOALS DAM TO TEMPORARILY CLOSE FOR EQUIPMENT INSTALLATION

    Mountain Home, Ark. – One lane of Highway 178 across Bull Shoals Dam will be closed at 6:30 a.m. each Monday and remain closed until 5 p.m. each Thursday except federal holidays beginning Tuesday, Feb. 10 until Feb. 20 for equipment installation. Both lanes will be open Friday thru Sunday.
  • CORPS PLANS PRESCRIBED BURNING AROUND GREERS FERRY LAKE

    HEBER SPRINGS, Ark. – The Army Corps of Engineers Greers Ferry Project Office personnel in coordination with the Arkansas Forestry Commission and other state agencies will conduct prescribed burns in and around Greers Ferry Lake park areas when weather conditions are favorable during the next several months.

  • Hillsdale Lake to undergo periodic inspection

    Paola, Kan., – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers at Hillsdale Lake will be conducting a periodic dam inspection on March 23-27. The outlet area located below the dam will be closed to the public. The area will be restricted due to safety concerns and the need to complete the inspection in a timely manner to reduce cost.

(Feb. 6, 2015) – Thirty years after the dedication of the Tennessee-Tombigbee Waterway, officials cut another ribbon today dedicating a museum that provides education outreach and features the value of transportation within the historical inland passageway built by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers from 1972 to 1984.
