  • USACE works with Cuyahoga Valley National Park on Cuyahoga River bank stabilization

    National Parks in the U.S. are popular tourist destinations. Cuyahoga Valley National Park in Ohio, for example, had over 2.2 million visitors in 2017. National Parks are set aside for us to appreciate nature’s beauty, and guests who visit these areas expect to see healthy wildlife, lush vegetation and clean waters. Cuyahoga Valley National Park is within the Cuyahoga River Watershed, which drains about 809 square miles, split right down the center by the Cuyahoga River; the river is one of the park’s most important natural assets.
  • NR 18-007: Public invited for J. Percy Priest Dam Powerhouse tour on Stones River

    NASHVILLE, Tenn. (March 22, 2018) – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Nashville District at J. Percy Priest Dam & Reservoir is offering two free guided tours of the J. Percy Priest Hydroelectric Dam in celebration of the reservoir's 50th anniversary. Dam tours will be held Friday, June 29, 2018 at 11:45 a.m. and 1 p.m. There is a limit of 25 people per tour.
  • Volunteers paint Seven Points Campground for Earth Day

    HERMITAGE, Tenn. (March 22, 2018) – Equipped with spray paint, brushes and rollers, 60 volunteers applied a fresh coat of color today to recondition Seven Points Campground on the shoreline of J. Percy Priest Lake.
  • 30th annual Kids’ Fishing Derby kicks off April 21

    SAVANNAH, Ga. – The ever-popular Kids’ Fishing Derby celebrates its 30th year April 21 at the Blue Hole Recreation Area on Russell Lake in Calhoun Falls, South Carolina. Participants must be 15 years old or younger to fish in the netted cove purposefully stocked with fish for the derby.
  • Public meeting set for Clinton Lake Master Plan

    LAWRENCE, Kan. – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers will host a public meeting for the Clinton Lake Master Plan on Tuesday, Mar. 27, 2018 from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. The meeting will be an open format hosted at the Clinton Lake Visitor Center located at 872 N. 1402 Road, Lawrence, KS 66049.
