(April 3, 2018) – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Nashville District and Tennessee Valley Authority invite the media to cover a congressional visit to Chickamauga Lock 10 a.m. Monday, April 9, 2018 in Chattanooga, Tenn. Congressman Chuck Fleischmann, U.S. Representative for Tennessee’s 3rd Congressional District, and Congressman Scott DesJarlais, U.S. Representative for Tennessee’s 4th Congressional District, are visiting to check on the progress of repairs being completed by the Corps of Engineers Regional Light Fleet to the upper miter gate anchorage of the existing lock, and for an update of the Chickamauga Lock Replacement Project. Subject matter experts will be available to discuss the ongoing maintenance at the lock and address other questions about the on-site work.
