• My Hurricane Laura Deployment Experience

    Working with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers has given me a lot of opportunities to learn, grow, and challenge myself. Most recently, I was deployed down to Lafayette, Louisiana, along with several other USACE teammates, and we were assigned to support the Federal Emergency Management Agency’s temporary housing mission.

  • Final levee system project on horizon as MVM completes preliminary projects

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Memphis District, in partnership with the Fulton County Board of Levee Commissioners (FCBLC), is nearing completion of two maintenance projects, the Island 8 Parcel 1 Relief Well Ditch Restoration Project and the Lake No. 9 Collector Ditch Erosion Repair Project, both located along the Mississippi River Mainline Levee south of Hickman, Kentucky. More importantly, after these projects are done, the district will be that much closer to executing the last and final project needed to finish the entire levee system.

  • Broward County Segment II beach renourishment begins soon

    U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), Jacksonville District, announces that construction will begin soon for the Broward County Segment II shore protection renourishment project.
  • USACE announces temporary closures at Canyon Lake for maintenance work

    U.S. Army Corps of Engineers officials at Canyon Lake will temporarily close the Guadalupe Trail and the Stilling Basin Parking lots Friday, April 9 through Sunday, April 11 due to maintenance work.
  • Boulder Road Bridge Closure

    Boulder Road will be closed at the bridge over Gibbs Creek between Lake Villa Road and Nut Road,
  • Carlyle Lake Dam East Boat Ramp Closure

    CARLYLE LAKE – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Carlyle Lake Project will temporarily close the Dam East Boat Ramp to the public beginning the evening of Thursday, April 8 through Sunday, April 11, 2021. The closure is necessary for the 739th Engineer Company to conduct military training exercises associated with launching, catching, and retrieving Interior Bays on the water with approximately 30 to 40 soldiers participating.
  • 2021 runoff forecast remains below average; Virtual spring public meetings April 6

    Reservoir inflows in the Missouri River basin above Sioux City, Iowa (upper Basin) were well-below average in March. The updated 2021 upper Basin runoff forecast is 21.3 million acre-feet (MAF), 83% of average.
  • Corps to close courtesy dock at W.P. Franklin South Recreation Area for repairs

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Jacksonville District will temporarily close the courtesy dock adjacent to the boat ramp at the W.P Franklin Lock and Dam South Recreation Area on the Caloosahatchee River near Alva, Florida, for repairs, until further notice.
