    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, St. Paul District, awarded a $6.1 million contract to H. B. Construction Inc. of Platte City, Missouri, yesterday, May 12, to complete the Southern Embankment Reach SE-2 portion of the Fargo, North Dakota/Moorhead, Minnesota, Metropolitan Area Flood Risk Management Project, which is also known as the FM Area Diversion.
  • USACE and Missouri Dept. of Natural Resources sign agreement to begin aquatic ecosystem restoration on Osage River

    On May 13, 2022, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and the Missouri Department of Natural Resources signed an agreement to begin aquatic ecosystem restoration on the Osage River near Brockman Springs Road. This agreement is under Section 1135 of the Water Resources Development Act of 1986. The feasibility, design and implementation phases will be completed over the next five years.

PAUL, Minn. – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, St. Paul District, the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources and the Upper Minnesota River Watershed District will celebrate the completion of the Marsh Lake environmental enhancement project with a ribbon cutting ceremony on July 14, at 11 a.m. This is an update from the previous date of May 17.   • Sturgeon flow augmentation begins May 16 at Libby Dam

    Water managers at the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, along with federal, tribal, and state fishery biologists, have determined that spring run-off conditions warrant the commencement of required flow augmentation at Libby Dam, Montana, for endangered Kootenai River white sturgeon downstream in Idaho. The flow augmentation operation includes increasing outflows to provide river conditions that may increase sturgeon spawning success in the lower Kootenai River.

To accommodate tournament activities, the Dam West Boat Ramp will temporarily close to the public beginning the morning of Wednesday, May 18 through Saturday, May 21, 2022. During this period, Allen Branch and Apache Boat Ramps located in Eldon Hazlet State Park or the Dam East Boat Ramp and Keyesport Boat Ramp will be available to the general public.
