    Three Forks of Beargrass Creek Ecosystem Restoration Feasibility Study reaches major milestone with signing of Chiefs Report

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Louisville District recently completed an Ecosystem Restoration Feasibility study and recommended plan to restore both instream and riparian habitat within the Beargrass Creek watershed in Louisville, Kentucky. Beargrass Creek has a 60 square mile watershed and is composed of three main branches (the South, Middle and Muddy forks), which reach throughout the city of Louisville. Historically, Beargrass Creek has suffered degraded habitat due to development and manipulation.

    Galveston District publishes Notice of Availability for the Draft Environmental Impact Statement and Public Meetings for the Port of Corpus Christi Authority’s Channel Deepening Project, Nueces and Aransas Counties, Texas (Department of The Army Permit Number SWG-2019-00067)

    The U. S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Galveston District is publishing a notice of availability for the Port of Corpus Christi Authority’s (PCCA) Channel Deepening Project Draft Environmental Impact Statement (DEIS) for Department of the Army Permit SWG-2019-00067. USACE invites all affected federal, state, and local agencies, affected Native American Tribes, other interested parties, and the general public to participate in the (National Environmental Policy Act) NEPA process during the review and comment of the DEIS.

    DCV Hayward Leads the Parade of Ships for Fleet Week NYC

    NEW YORK-The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Drift Collection Vessel HAYWARD sailed alongside U.S. Naval Wasp-Class Amphibious Assault ship USS Battan (LHD 5), Military Sealift ships, and U.S. Coast Guard vessels in the parade of ships that entered New York Harbor May 25th to participate in Fleet Week 2022, a week-long event celebrating the maritime services.

    SOMERSET, Ky. (May 23, 2022) – The Waitsboro recreation area cut the ribbon on a wheelchair-accessible ramp attached to a day-use shelter, providing access to an area previously inaccessible to anyone in a wheelchair or needing walking assistance.

    Great Lakes Infrastructure grows $101 million stronger from FY22 Work Plan

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Buffalo District received a total of $101.9 million in the Fiscal Year 2022 Work Plan to complete projects across the District’s area of responsibility. The FY22 Work Plan funding is in addition to the $99.96 million of FY22 President’s Budget and $24 million of FY22 funding from the Infrastructure Investments and Jobs Act.
